OMC Adhesive M Sealant ??

I am preparing to service water pump. The rebuild kit recommends M type sealant applied on various components. Can anyone describe what is<br />OMC adhesive M sealant? Are there substitutes?<br />ie Parker O lube?<br /><br />Thanks<br />RHB

Type M is also known as Marpox sealer 1000, available thru many marine stores.
