If OB is right now sitting at the sweet transom/ engine height and OP happy with its water combo why would anyone want him to row against the current ?
As long the water flow is being nicely cut right through the sharp edge locetd right under upper plate, any extra drag which is bare minimum will be totally canceled out by the better thrust the prop is providing due to having a higher water bed to grip, bite, swim much better. The only way to correctly meter the extra darg is with a tach installed, other form is just pure tech speculation.
BTW, all this way proven nonse of mine dialed in many different appications works spot on at any speed while boat maintains its plane at any given rpm with deck load well distributed and engine well trimmed. Works top on most water boating cond except very rough and wavy water cond.
