You may have better luck with Volvo since they bought out OMC.

OMC went out of business in 2000. Bombardier bought the outboard business. Volvo had bought the sterndrive business about 1993.

Almost all OMC Cobra sterndrive parts are still available, either at local dealers, or from internet suppliers. Volvo internal parts are often not the same.
