My 1989 Bayliner Capri stalled out on me after going full out for about 45 minutes and when we slowed to no -wake speed it just stalled. Wouldn't restart. Sounded like it was trying to start a couple times and then you would just crank it like it was trying to turn over but couldn't get any fuel or something. Someone at work said it might be the fuel pump? Any ideas? It was like I wish I had the squeezy pump I used to have on my old outboard. Anyway, had to get towed in again . I am about to give up on boating all together. Couldn't be any more embarrased and frustrated.

when was the last regular maintance done to the motor

due you have a fuel water filter sepator

did you check for spark

there is a small 2 or 3 dollar filter in the carb that in many boats is the only filter if you get a littel water or some gunk pumped up to the carb its instant clog up time i learned that one the hard way to and put in a good fuel water filter i change it about two times a year much chaeper than the tow boat

tommays

You have to have several things for an engine to run.

1. Fuel.

2. Air.

3. Spark, at the right time.

4. Compression

You are missing one of these.
