omc cobra 4.3 v6. steering sticking making power steering ram jump

Steering hard w\o power steering enabled.
Outdrive easy to move port to starboard when steering arm is not attached.
When steering arm is attached moving Outdrive result is locked. Use to move freely
When power steering enabled easy to steer but far port makes power steering ram jump on transomany ideas. Thanks guys for insight.

Ayuh,... My guess is the valving is out of alignment, or it's Over-traveling...

Sounds like steering cable issue, either cable bad or its end is stuck in the guide tube from lack of fresh grease.

Sounds like steering cable issue, either cable bad or its end is stuck in the guide tube from lack of fresh grease.

Cable. Greased. Moves fine. Without load when power steering is Not enabled
