I'm replacing the stern drive on my '87 OMC Cobra 4.3 and am replacing the exhaust bellows with a GLM bellows. The old one had no holes in it but the GLM one has slotted holes, I assume, at the bottom. Neither the OMC or Clymer manuals discuss these holes so I assume they are to be positioned at the bottom to let any residual water escape. Does anyone know anything about these? Should I buy the OMC one that has no holes? Thanks!

No the GLM one is fine, the holes also help reduce the back pressure and yes the holes go on the bottom.

You are correct. The new bellows are cut on the bottom. This is normal.

-David
