I am trying to identify a cobra outdrive so I can purchase a service manual. Its on a 88 Four Winns 215 Sundowner, originally equipped with a 5.0. Thanks!

That would be a regular Cobra, see if you can find an OE OMC manual, they may still be available from Bombardier. Much better than aftermarket.

Been looking on eBay, all I see is King Cobra, says 350 & up on the cover. Not the one I'm looking for, is it?

In 88 the 305 came with the regular Cobra and the 350 King (thru the transom ex) came with the King which as far as I can tell from my 88 OMC manuals had the same upper and lower units, the only mechanical difference I can see is that the gear ratio on the upper unit was different for them, the lower ratios were the same, they take the same amount of fluid (64 oz).<br />I'd still try to get the OE manuals from an Evinrude/Johnson dealer, they are not expensive and are really complete.

Check with this guy's ebay store, he has all kinds of factory OEM manuals. Are you 100% sure that the engine/drive is 1988? Sometimes you will find the previous yr engine in a boat if the dealer happens to have left over stock and it's early in the new model year. Only way to tell for sure is if you post the engine model number OEM Manuals

The engine (5.0) was replaced with a 5.7 buy owner. I'll know better today when I pick up the boat. Thanks.
