90 omc cobra 5.8. We were coming back in last night and the lake was pretty flat. We got up on plane, and moving and I got the boat up to pretty much maxed with it trimmed out. All was good. After a few minutes, it almost sounded like my trolling plate fell and the boat was lagging l. I stopped, lifted the drive and the plate was still up. We to take off and all seemed fine, the drive was up still some so the nose lifted so As I dropped the trim the boat planned out. After that the boat didn’t want to get over 23 mph l and sounded like we had a brake on and felt like something was dragging. He’s the weird part to me. After the stop and what not and we took off the boat seemed real rocky and kinda like it was moving side to side. I thought I broke a blade on my prop and it was causing it to do it. Pulled the boat on the trailer and the only thing I noticed was the port side trim tab was all the way down and the starboard side was all the way up. Would that one tab cause a break feeling when trying to drive and cause the rocky movement we felt ? Also, at one point in time I could have swore I heard the motor rev once but I’m not sure. Did not seem like the prop hub was spinning. We did stop and get back up with no issues.
