hello.

Where do i look up this Cobra Drive Serial Number to know Year model ect. ect....

5.0 Liter
Serial# t0626083
model# 985687

any ideas where i can look for this? i was at http://www.sterndrive.info/ but i dont see any Model or serial like this

looking at the model#,maybe a 87? What year is the boat?

The only place I have seen vertical drive and transom mount serial numbers is in my OEM OMC service manual.

My sterndrive was a 754BPFTC, the vertical drive was 984544 and the transom mount was 984760.

You'll have to get the OEM manual that is for your year model.

I think yours is an 88 model. That number is not in my 87 manual.

those are the model & serial theres no others in the sterndrive
The original boat this was on is unknown, it was installed on a different boat

most probably i will sell it on ebay, i need the money badly and i just Posted 1 item on EBAY for selling to try and see how things work on auctions, then after i will post this OUTDRIVE forsale

im selling the COUPLER that was used with this drive and a 5.0liter Engine
started the auction at $95 i hope it sells

I went through the same thing. Here's a link that should help.

Look up on the engine for a number that ends with 3 letters. It would start with 50 if it originally came with a 5.0. Mine was on the inside of the port side valve cover.
