Hi guys, <br /><br />I have just purchased a boat with a cobra outdrive. I havent used the boat yet as im doing a resto job on it. But i have serviced the engine. There was absolutly no oil in the power steering system. I have put in around 800ml in the resoviour to get the level to the full mark.<br />I began priming with engine on and it was causing the powersteering lines to shudder and send vibrations through the boat in general.<br /><br />So i turned the steering left and right a dozen times, with the engine off. Checked the levels, it was ok. <br /><br />other than this the steering before was fine, wasnt stiff and it didnt seem to be notchy or anything strange, before i put the fluid in. <br /><br />While moving the leg i can hear the fluid move through the lines still. How long does it take to prime this sucker.<br /><br />Or is there potential to have to get the powersteering overhauled.<br /><br />Thanks,<br /><br />Will
