OMC's procedure for adjusting the transom bracket shift cable calls for setting the distance between the brass cable crimp and the center of the shift pin hole at 7-5/8" +/- 1/32". Is this measurement taken from the crimped-on sleeve with the locknut backed off, or against the locknut when it's tightened? The drawing in the OMC manual doesn't show the nut at all, and I don't want to get it srong and have to pull the drive again! Thanks!
