OMC Cobra stern drive help

Hi I have a 93 Reinell with a cobra stern drive. Model # 987683 Serial #To761886. First boat so I'm learning. Looking at 93 manuals shows some differences. Where can I find out if it has a 93 stern drive or some other year? Also are the speciatly tools required? I'm a pretty good auto mech and haven't needed to many speciatly tools there?<br /><br />Thanks Chance

If you are talking about general engine maint. then not any special tools come to mind.But if you are tearing into that sterndrive you can look forward to a heavy investment in tooling.With out these tools everything is guesswork and can lead to pancaked gears or grenaded gearcases.
