any you guys know something good to flush an outdrive that had water in it after draining it?<br />I'm sure theres some milky oil going to be left behind after the draining.<br />thanks Joe

not a good way other than to refill and drain it several times. usually when that much water has been in them I tear them down for inspection and cleaning.

Just use some cheap 30W engine oil. Put it in the drive after you let it drain for a few hours, start the engine and put it in gear for about a minute (No Prop) at idle. Drain the oil again. Do this a few times till the oil comes out like new. Then put in the HiVis gear lube with new gaskets on the plugs and dipstick and your set to go.<br /><br />But, Before you put the first oil in it, pressure check it, and find the leak. You will have to pull the drive apart and fix the leak or you will have the same problem over and over. At that point washing out the drive with sovent is manditory before putting it back together.
