HI, I have a side mount control on my Fourwinns 20. It is chrome like with all the working parts inside the gunnel and just one arm that sticks out with the trim button and a neutral lockout switch under the right side of the t handle. It seems to be rather hard to push the throttle on and also throttling in reverse. It seems like it needs some greasing. There are three large phillips screws that seem to have nuts on the back that just spin and I cant get off to remove the control for inspection. I take the boat in the ocean and I would hate to have any problems like the controll arm snapping off. :) Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Tim

It's probably the cable(s) getting old. Of course you'd probably want to grease the controller once you get it unsecured. There must be a method, albeit it might take some creative tooling or fingerwork to get it off.
