OMC controls and system check

I recently acquired a 97-115hp Evinrude 60degee OB. The engine came with a console-mount control. I need a side-mount control. I was wondering, what instruments come with this engine as none were included and there doesn't appear to be anything to plug into on the console-mount except the tilt-trim. The wiring harness has a separate key switch and some plugs that plug into what? I am waiting on a service manual but didn't know if this info would be in there. Anybody know where to get a used side-mount control?

You will need to get either the 2" System Check gauge with the 4 warning lites, or the System Check tach that includes the lites. The large 8pin plug fits into these gauges. There should also be a warning horn on the harness connected to the tan and purple wires. If not, you need that also. Gauges, controls, and boat wiring harnesses do not come with the outboard, they have to be purchased separately.

Okay, that helps. I think I have found a used side mount control. I have the warning horn and I was wondering what the other plug was for. I guess I will look for a system check gauge.
