I removed the drive off my boat for the 1st time. I took nuts for rams. then 6 nuts off the drive, drive was all the way down. Pulled and drive came back about 1 inch then stopped dead. It took a lot of wiggleing and pulling before I could get it all the way off. This is an omc 3.0 that I just bought a few weeks ago. I removed the drive for routine maintaince. The gimble was very free turning and smooth, the u-joints appear to be new as the prevous owner stated they were. I'm just concerned about how much it took to pull it apart. Is this normal? I'm worried about putting it back together again. I do have an alignment comming today.

Probably just hanging up on the threaded studs, having to jiggle and pull and pretty normal.
