OMC Electric Shift parts help

I have a '76 Galaxy that won't go forward. I am looking for the shift spring in the forward gear cluster. My local boat shop wants $400 + $400 to put it in. Needless to say, I am learning about how OMC drives ar assembled. Does anyone know where to get one cheaper. I only paid $750 for the whole boat.

Well as luck would have it, my boat shop had one for $300, I also got the seal kit and water pump too. I figure if I am going to do it, I might as well do it once... Thanks for looking...
