Low all I have a question. I have a 1989 four Winns 24footer. Boat came with an OMC cobra 350 engine which was seized solid. I have the opportunity to buy a 1990 Chevy pick up truck with a 305 V-8 in it. It is a non-Vortech engine but my question is is there a fuel pump block off plate and if so is the lobe on the cam to except a fuel pump. If there isn't does that mean that I have to find an engine that is older and non-fuel injected. Thanks

why not buy a 350. they put those in more trucks. most pick-a-part yard has them for under $500 (most in this area for $300)

no, the automotive blocks (while they came out of the same plant) did not get the mechanical embossment machined.

cam still has the lobe

The 1990 engine should be fine. If it doesn't have the pump lobe, a kit with an electric pump and oil pressure switch can be retrofitted.
