OK, I know that this topic has been covered many times over, but in all the conversations I have not been able to find the answer I am looking for.

In short what I am looking for is camshaft grind numbers.

I currently own a Larson DC-175 BC with a 4.3 non HO OMC (432APRGDP). The previous owner knew nothing about mechanics and did not winterize it so the block cracked over our cold winters. He ran it the next spring....

What I have done now is found an Astro Van with a compatible block. I have called the dealer and found the original cam number (14093686).

Van 4.3 Cam
Cam Type : Hydraulic
Exhaust Duration : 195?
Exhaust Lift (Inches) : 0.257"
Exhaust Lift (mm) : 6,515 mm
Intake Duration : 179?
Intake Lift (Inches) : 0.234"
Intake Lift (mm) : 5,933 mm
Lobe Center-line (Exhaust) : 112 Deg
Lobe Center-line (Intake) : 108 Deg
Lope Separation : 110?
Overlap : 33?

The only thing I cannot locate is the lope separation and overlap degrees for the original cam.

In the OMC Manual, All that it says is I/E 0.234/0.257.

Would I assume the original cam is the exact one as the Original? If anyone has the original OMC grind numbers That would be AWESOME :D

I really don't want to swap the cams and wind up wrecking the bearings.

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,... If the cam is in Good shape, leave it alone, 'n put the motor together....

The stock GM cam is just Fine for yer application....

It's aftermarket Hot Rod cams that don't work well in boat motors.... ;)
