Hi y'awl, Last year I asked if I could use the auto-vent gas tank from my Johnson OB with my Force OB that uses a vented Merc gas tank, and was told a gas tank is a gas tank.

Nevertheless I am still curious as to know just how the pressure or succion comes in and out of that OMC tank since I see no opening anywhere on the tank itself ... any clues ?? Thank you.

PS: the Omc tank has a sinble gas line going to the OB

Thank you, makes sense since I see nowhere else ... lol

But it sure is a discrete gadget ... I cannot see anything within that cap like a spring action spacer or anything that would let me presume there is a patent in there ... LOL Also there is always some presure in the tank while exposed to the sun or succion if in the shadow. Does that pressure build up in the carburator also ? My Johnson is used to that ... but the Force ??? (using one tank for both OB's)

Tx and have a great day ... wont be back in Fla until fall ... should be flounder time around Mayport then huh ? LOL
