In my manual for my '88 5.7 OMC Cobra, it keeps refering to OMC Gasket Sealing Compound. What should I use as a substitute, that could be picked up preferably at my local auto parts store? Thanks!
My manual also refers to OMC Marine Wheel Bearing grease (for u-joints) and OMC Triple Guard grease. I have some Marine Grease I purchased from Wal-Mart and assume this will work in place of the OMC Marine Wheel Bearing grease. What should I use in place of the OMC Triple guard grease?
Any marine grease for bearings is fine.<br />I prefer the blue type as opposed to the cream colored.<br /><br />"Marine" simply means it will resist emulsifying with water.
