Hi, I recently had a used OMC outboard installed on my boat. Now I have no power to accessories such as fuel guage and some lights that used to work off of the ignition switch. I am an electrical idiot and dont want to mess anything up. The controls are standard white side mount.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Westie

Re: OMC ignition wiring help!

You are going to have to run an independent curcuit (wires) from your battery to you console. Depending on what all will be run from that circuit will determine what guage wire to use. The simple way to power all your accessoriesis to install a fuse block under your console and run everything from there.

If you had them before the engine swap, most likely the B+ (purple wire) is not hooked up. Usually it comes from the switch and goes to the tach first. Look for that and get back to us.

Good luck!
