correct model number

232 AM iether F or P ..TC

That would be a 1987 2.3 Cobra

I dunno if this will help, but an 88 2.3 is

232amrgdp,232amrgde=manual steering
232aprgdf, and e, are power steering

My main stuff not here, but someone here, in last 2 days, put out the info, as far as the code goes. I remember the m&p = steering. on 4th charactor.
3rd # is carb= 2 bbl. Think the r is motor version of 1st or 2nd model.
