New to the forum longtime follower, I have an OMC 115 seadrive the boat had sat for around 7 years was able to start it yesterday after cleaning the carbs runs excellent, but I believe it needs a rectifier as the Rpm gauge works and the battery does not charge. Which leads to the actual question of do Johnson and evinrude parts bolt onto this power head? Thanks

Yes... A sea-drive is simply a outboard with a out-drive unit designed by a deranged engineer!

It was the mid 80s, a lot of things were pretty bad, the inmates had been running the Asylum for 4 or 5 years by then

These units offered easy replacement or repower of stern drive boats.-----Allowed the entire drive to be lifted well clear of water.----Did not prove to be popular after a few years.------Outboard parts will fit.

Not really back totally my friend... but I seemed to have cleared up somewhat good enough in the past few months whereas I wanted to stop in from time to time for the good people who are still using the ancient motors of my time in the sun. :)
