1993 Thundercraft 32ft, 454 engines. Transom plate, part of the casting that the main bellows attach to has broken clean off all around due to corrosion. Would like to understand if this particular transom unit is hard to find as I am told it is due to being manufactured for only a few years. I would guess there is no repair type of kit for this and would have to replace only. Have checked some of the local salvage yards without any luck so would like to know as much as I can about this type of transom unit.

if you pull the transom plate, you may be able to have it welded.

Your determination about sizes it up. It is obsolete and unless you can find a boat with that engine installed for parts, you probably won't be able to fix it.

If you're looking for an inner transom PLATE (OMC #0913826) , I just found one on eBay.

To find part numbers, go to http://epc.brp.com/

For your model engines and drives, you're going to have to scrounge.

It sounds like you're looking for a "Gimbal Housing Assy" #0986977 if it's the part where the bellows connects......

All that stuff is going to be very hard to find........Sorry about that,
