OMC Model Number

I picked up my new to me boat last weekend, 1983 GW Trophy 259 with twin OMC Sea Drives. I need a starter for one of the motors, but the trouble I'm having is I can't find a listing to see exactly which OMC motor I have. The model number is 1ABLCNC. The covers on the motors say 2.6L, but to find parts, I want to be sure what I have. Any help is appreciated.

Here is a parts list for the 1ABLCN series. Notice that your model number indicates that it is a 1982 2.5L engine block, not a 2.6L. You can order most of the parts through iboats.com or your dealer.

What is the C for at the end of the model number? 1ABLCNC

Just the manufacturers run number, nothing to worry about. In some cases there may be a reference to it in a parts book but not very often. As for the starter, a starter for any V6 crossflow - 2.5 or 2.6, outboard or Sea Drive - will work.
