Hopefully one of the vets can give me a exact answer. Thanks in advance. When I install my 351 onto my Stringers, what tourqe is required. Manual says 30 lbs for the front motor mounts(which seems low) and doesn't say anything about the intermiediate housing mounts. Same?

if the wood is solid and you are reusing the holes, fill them with some 2 part epoxy or marinetex, then drive the lags home when it's about half cured. Just snug them 30 ft lbs is probably good.
If it's virgin mahogany and you drill 3/16" pilot holes, it will take about 75-90 ft. lbs. to drive the lags in in my experience.

appreciate your reply. I'm reusing the holes they appear ok. Any advantage to me drilling them out one size up and use the next size up lag bolt. To be into "new wood" And then also use your epoxy or marinetex. Or if thepresent hole tourqes out at 30 lbs not worry about it.
