As I am now starting to put my Outdrive Back together in preperation for my new Sea Trials set for late August I wanted to share with all here the different parts I found and the year they were first or last used. This Sterndrive was attached to a 1974 SkipJack FB with a 1998 Mercruiser 5.0 Powerplant.
Now, if you had to tell some Mechanic or Parts House what year model was your Drive, what would you say?
Upper Gearcase 225 First Used 1972
Grounding Cable Upper Gearcase First Used 1972
Exhaust Housing Last Used 1971 Have since changed to Model First Used in 1976
Bearing Housing Extended Last Used 1970
Pivot Caps First Used 1975
Upper Gearcase Gears 21/17 First Used 1978. Have since changed to 21/16
True-Coarse Steering First Used 1974
Rudder Last Used 1971
Swivel Bearing Housing 2 Zirk Fittings First Used 1971
