Omc = 235 ho white stringer drive= on a factory install io-- controll box has a large round button that must be pulled= to get throttle only! There is a neutral safety switch behind that box - that will not allow the engine start if in gear. Is that switch still available??Part #=?? or is it only serviceable in a complete controll bix?? Thanx.

I thought we figured you out to have electric shift. Shouldn't have an interrupt like that. When the throttle is up, she's in neutral. Push the throttle forward and the shift engages, same for reverse.

Got a picture of your shift remote?

look on the side of the switch. it will most likely be a honeywell or cherry brand of micro limit switch.
