I did a search and found no guidance but I know I have seen these posts on here before. I would like to change the oil on my 1992 OMC Cobra and know there are a few tricks. Can anyone help? My recollection is that it is pretty simple as long as filled and drained correctly. Any help would be appreciated.

ALso, spend the extra $4 for the gear lube in the bottle that has the hand pump on it so you can fill it upwards. I bought one bottle with the pump and the others with out it. I move the pump from one to the other as I change bottles.

Just to clarify, the Cobra must be filled from the middle hole on the side. If you do like Phillip a, and fill from tthe bottom first, you must move up to the middle hole when oil begins to run out of it. It seems like an unnecessary, messy procedure to me. If you fill from the side first and always, it will get the job done.

Check your fluid level the next day to see if it is still as full as the day before. Sometimes even with the specified procedure, air can still stay in and eventually rise to the top.
