Make sure drive is in not in gear.Very lightly greese or oil the input shaft,be sure all the grime is off the splines. When I say lightly, don't
pile it on or it will form a air lock as you push drive in.I also very lightly oil the inside of the bellows so u-joints will slide in bellows.
Now as you start pushing the drive in you can stick a big screw driver in the ujonts and move them back and forth and push.On the end of the spline there is 2 rubber o rings, oil them lightly. Get it a shove while turning u joint.Don't get the screw driver into bellows and puncture it.Thats how I get mine on.

Phillip A is right on. I had the same problem last time I removed mine for servicing. Took it to the local shop and using Phillips technique he had it on in just a couple of minutes. Good luck.
