OMC Painting Surfaces

I saw these pictures on E-Bay of an OMC Intermediate Housing all nicely painted. I am nearing the time where I will be painting mine. I would like to have opinions about the areas I marked. Are these areas wise to paint. Of coarse please comment on anything else you see in the picture, just don't hijack the thread please, HeHeHe.
