I have an early 60's non-pressurized single line 5 imperial (6 U.S.) gallon tank. Recently while transporting it with fuel inside it just seeped fuel out the whole time. I did not have the hose on it at the time. Fumes were so strong that I will not use this tank until the issue is resolved. It has the correct cap.
Is is possible that dirt or debris could have messed with a check valve on the coupler? Do I repair or replace parts? Can I dissassemble and blow out the coupler?
Thanks!
