hey everyone,
I was running the water through the motor to find out that it leaks between the block and BELL HOUSING. 2 main spots were by the starter and a lil hole (looks like a bolt was suppose to be there) on the bottom of the BELL HOUSING where it connects to the block. can anyone tell me why this is? is there water suppose to be running through this system and i have just a bad gasket? or is my block cracked inside...?
Thanks
Nick

Re: OMC Problem again.....

I don't think your boat has a trans, the hole bottom center of the bell housing where your engine coupler lives is there to drain any water that gets in there, there is also a drain in the nose of the starter. You shouln't be getting water in that area, I don't think a bad bellows will leak if boat is not in the water, if your block is cracked your oil will become milky with water intrusion. Oh yea and I don't think you should be running water through the engine without it being running it may have something to with it.

I got the same setup, but till he can ask, so i can understand the question, i won't guess what he means.

Could be this, that, and the other thing, "maybe" don't help him.
