omc rpm meter

its a lcd quarts rpm meter from omc (on back 16 fm) with four wires purpel,gray,black,blue<br />i now the conection but its broken en if you (or anyone)have a picture of the insides of the RPM guage. I like looking for the resistor values of the various parts ho are burned beyond recognition to replace.

Hi Fortje;<br />I can't help you with the insides of the tach, but I can help you with the color cosdes of the wires. The purple wire is switched power for the lights inside, the black is engine ground, the grey is the tachometer sender signal to the tach. However the blue wire is one that I'm not sure about, it maybe a signal return. I don't have any manuals at home so I can't look it up.<br />Good Luck
