OMC Seadrive

I have the serial number and I need to find out everything about this motor. The cover says it's a 3.0, but these twin engines are on a 29' vessel and it would seem that they would not be powerful enough to pull this boat. <br />Serial# G1522193 GOAPRJAG<br />If someone could please tell me what year this is and how many horsepower this motor has and if it's indeed a 3.0 or not..<br />Thanks!!

They look to be from 1988. They are indeed 3.0 loopers. They are very similar to their outboard cousins at 200 and 225 hp.<br /><br />Depending on hull design and set up, they should be fine. The downside to Sea Drives is that the mounting is not easily changed compared to an outboard. Most components are the same or similar to the outboards from the same year. Some things that are Sea Drive specific, like trim hoses and mounting brackets etc, may be hard to come by.<br /><br />Good luck!
