I have a 1992 Seaswirl Striper. It has a 4 cylinder OMC engine with a cobra outdrive. I tried to start it about three weeks ago and the teeth didn't engage the flywheel. Further examination revealed that the starter was loose. Took off the front bracket and the starter came out because both bolts were broke off inside the block. What would cause this? I've worked on several engines over the years and never seen this. Upon going to Tacoma Screw to get drills and easy outs, I ran into another man who had the same problem with his OMC. Is this common? I tried to get the bolts out to no avail. Looks like the engine has to come out. What a royal pain. It's going into the shop tomorrow and then I'm selling this piece of junk. Thanks, Bill
