OMC Stern Drive Knocking Noise

Our 1978 Fiberform Baja has a OMC stern drive, as we were pulling into our slip we heard a knocking-vibration noise coming from the outdrive. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Was the drive tilted up? Those electric omc stringers will make a loud knock when tilted up while running.

Check out your ball gears.<br />And like said above, DO NOT operate a OMC Stringer with the drive raised.
