There are many OMC Stringer Special Tools that are required to work on the Sterndrives. Many of these like 'shim guages' are nothing more than measuring devices made of a couple pieces of metal and are selling on Ebay for $114 and could be made at home for about 2 bucks if we knew the dimensions of the tool, or the distance they are designed to measure.
