So my starter decided to quit on me while the boat was in storage during the winter.
It's a 1974 with a Buick V6 backed to an OMC Stringer outdrive. Has anyone done this job, and if so can you offer any tips? Also, does anyone know where starters are available? I tried a quick search, but with no luck. I can always just get it rebuilt, but I'd rather get a new one.
I know for a fact it's the starter, I can hear it click when I turn the key, but it won't turn the motor. The battery is good (tested by a battery shop) and the motor turns freely by hand.
