Do I use all 5 wires or do I clip and cap 1 black 1 purple? boat had no gauges when I bought it so I don't hav a clue can anybody help Thanks in advance

Re: Omc Tach Cable

The extra purple and black wires are for other accessories (gauges) if you want to switch them on and off with the key. (voltmeter)

Re: Omc Tach Cable

Black is ground, purple is 12V positive from the accessories post on the ignition switch. The accessories means things like guages; be careful not to overload the harness wiring.
