I just have a quick question. I was wondering if there is any way to verify the that Tachometer in my boat is reading the correct RPM's?
I just bought a 1991 Four Winns 190 Freedom. It has an OMC 4.3L engine with a cobra outdrive. Now, before anyone gives me a hard time about buying an OMC, i know about the problems people have had and have done my own research on them. Both of my local marina's both stock parts and work on them. So we will see what happens.
Anyway, back to the question. I want to get a new prop and make sure the the current one is right. I know that you go by engine speed and what it is currently doing with the prop you have now to size your next one. So, before I spend to much money, I wanted to make sure that the tach guage was acurate so I don't blow the motor up.
Thanks for the help!
