OMC V8 225HP - Changing Manifold from Roundlog to Center Riser

After kind of Overheating i have to change my old Roundlog Manifolds to Center Riser Style. Get the old Manifolds of the Block was easy. Now i am looking for this on:


Do they fit to my Chevy Block? I have to remove the Stud bolts from my block. And i need a new Thermostat Housing.

Small block chevy heads all, except for some very limited production versions, all have the same exhaust port and mount spec. If the studs are long enough to stick out of the new manifold you can sue them, if not, they have to come out.

How can i connect the Waterline from the Transom to the Thermostathousing?

It looks like you are trying to use a thermostat housing that does not match the original equipment. Do the original manifold have two hoses coming off of the front of each of them?

the used manifolds in your picture should be inspected. it looks like the riser-manifold joint is leaking.

What should i say? it was very easy to change. Maybe this is helpful for other iBoaters.

...I was just buying a pair of VP Center Rise Manifolds, Exhaust Tips, Flaps, Screws and Stuff.
