Is the water pump and impeller for an omc outdrive located in the upper assembly or lower?, and what do I need to do about changing it out? any drawings, diagrams would be helpful..<br />Also, is there a concern that the impeller could be broken off(pieces of it) and blocking or obstucting some part of the water flow system, causing overheating at higher rpm's..

Also, one other question, concerning a 2.5L chevrolet 4 cylinder motor on this outdrive : on the valve cover there is, or appears to be a pcv valve port that actually ends up going nowhere. is this a vent, or would it help performance if this were sealed off.. if it is a vent should these gases be directed out the back with a hose of some sort ?

THe impeller change is ease i did it my first time in about 10 min just make sure you fan the impeller the same direction the old one came out. As far a if the impeller is broke then the system needs to be back flushed. DOnt know how to do that but alot of people here know how. hope this helps
