The insurance company totaled my Alumacraft after hitting a wing dam. The motor didn't take too much of a hit so I bought boat/motor from insurance. Motor shifts forward/reverse. Need to have a mechanic take a look. How's it look to you guys?

I would get a new lower

small dimple on the "bulb" but not cracked or leaking.

Case could be distorted from the impact, might not be noticeable, especially in online photos. Nice focus on the trees. Is the prop shaft still straight? Well you said you were getting it checked by a mechanic. My guess he will say run it to see if there are issues and to keep an eye on the oil for water
