Not bad for December :D
But it wouldn't be a CBK post if there wasnt a small glitch...Was just about dark and went to fire her up to go home...Turn key and nothing..not a click, not a sound...I had put my brand new remote jump starter on the boat, whipped it out but battery wasnt dead...Ended up using a screwdriver to jump the starter..Will replace ignition switch today and see if that fixes it.
All in all a great day with Diane, her daughter and her brother (who doesn't fish but came along for a ride)

Boat looks great Kev! My boat was doing the same thing the day I bought her, I replaced the start solenoid and she fired right up.

Catch anything?

Jerry is right. That's the first place to start. I'm fairly certain this is the problem. Don't repalce the ignition switch until you've tried the solenoid.

Good luck, must be nice to be able to fish soft water now. If only I could afford to winter in the Keys and summer in Michigan.

I think it might be too weird if everything went smooth for ya.

Well buddy, I am glad somebody around here can have their boat in the water!

Cool man!:D

WTG CBK, it would take me the same length of time you were out on the water to cut a hole in the ice big enough for the boat to fit in.:D

Mine did the same thing. I thought ignition or neutral switch in the shifter. Ended up being the second solenoid that's mounted on the manifold. And for some reason, I had to wire the small terminals backwards from the way it was labeled on the original solenoid. Never did figure out why, but used it all summer that way with no issues.

This just proves how great this website is, this time last year I didn't even know what a solenoid was!!

You're not the only one still enjoying your boat Kev, we were able to get on the water last week... We were lucky, it was a balmy 43 degrees with a warm, gentle 20mph wind. Filmed the ride in, couldn't feel my face for 45 minutes! That ended my season! I'm guessing your trip was a bit more comfortable!
