Brand new here. Am changing from a single to a DP (an 86' volvo 290). Got a DP lower from a marine flea market. I am very confused as to what size props to install. Bought boat with O/D problems never had it in water, so no performance info to start with. Anyway I found a set of props that were supposed to be B-5's, but really are B-5 front and a B-6 rear.
Does this really matter????? When installed there seems to be a gap between them of about 3/4" (the line cutter is easily seen)???? Also am curious if a B-5 is same as a C-5 outside of the obvious aluminum vs. stainless???
All info would be appreciated.
