onboard chargers

i just bought a boat that has a 3 bank charger in it....when i plug it in no lights come on....is there a fuse inside of them or is it prob just shot?

What kind/model is it? Most of them have a green led come on to show AC is present.

i didnt get a good look but it had bass pro on it......i think it had 3 or 4 lights on it

If that is a XPS (made by Pro mariner for BPS) it should have a blue led on when AC is present. Make sure your AC plug is good. There is nothing serviceable in the charger for no AC.

You didn't get a good look at it so you don't know about the indicators, and you "think" your ac plug/extension cord is good. Those aren't very positive responses. Plug something else into the extension cord to make sure you have power. If it's ok then plug in the charger. No lights could be as simple as a broken wire in the ac power cord which usually happens at the plug because people tend to pull on the cord rather than the plug.
