Trying to work out a quote and this has me alittle concerned!

I am looking at some cable and trying to figure out the tensil strength and all I can see is-

PULL LOAD "N"
install 3996
operate 3197

What is "N" supposed to represent, newtons?? and how do I convert this back to pounds before breaking/tensil strength??

Thanks Rob

Thanks guys.

Yup, got the conversion down, now tryng to convince my client not to use this style of cable.
Its not the breaking strength thats the issue just that the jacket is so weak for an aerial enviroment.

Remember, this is lb-f... 1 N = 0.225 lb f

This does not take into account acceleration/deceleration force...
