One last problem with Johnson 112

I fixed my previous problem by replacing the fuel pump. It now runs WOT at about 5500. I also changed the plugs, plug wires and one coil that was cracked. It runs great except when I pull away from the dock and slowly start to accelerate. I sounds and feels as if it is running on 2 cylinders instead of all four. When I push the throttle to get on a plane, it runs smooth on all four, all the way to WOT. Any suggestions? By the way, I'm running a 40:1 ratio on fuel/oil at the advice of my mechanic. Could that be a factor?

Your description fits a fuel restriction in the carbs. When it stumbles give the primer bulb a squeeze or squirt some pre-mix directly into the carb throats to confirm that it is a fuel restriction problem at low speed. - if so time to rebuild the carbs. What do the plugs look like just after it stumbles.

All four plugs look the same, a little oily. According to the marina, the carbs were rebuilt about a year ago. It seems to do it more when it is a cold start.
